Illinois Destination ImagiNation 2009-2010

Destination ImagiNation is an innovative organization that teaches creativity, teamwork and problem solving to students across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries. Its main program is an extraordinary team tournament where student teams from all over the world solve mind-bending Challenges. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together, and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the Challenges. Participants gain more than just basic knowledge and skills—they learn to unleash their imaginations and take unique approaches to problem solving.

Who can join? Anyone! Your school, PTA, gifted program, Community Ed or after school program, home school group, YMCA or YWCA, Scouting programs, 4H, community organization, your family - anyone up for a challenge and fun!

Illinois has three Regions: The Central South Region, the Far North Region and the North Central Region. Training opportunities for Team Managers and for Teams will be published on the Calendar throughout the year. Tournament Registration is open until January 11, 2010 and competitions will take place in March with the Affiliate (State) Tournament being held on April 10, 2010.
